Honestly, just look at that cover art. Really take it in. It's so beautiful. I could stare at it all day. Back in the ancient days when we would sometimes flip through used-CD tracks and buy albums based on cover art alone, that one would've stopped me in my tracks. I would've run to the counter and laid my money down, no questions asked. Just based on that cover art and the shared track record of the two people who made it, Aesop Rock and Blockhead's upcoming LP Trouble Mountain has unbelievably high potential. I expect great things. Kevin Morby's Little Wide Open remains one of the best albums we've heard this year. When it dropped, Morby told us the story behind every song on the tracklist, but there were some tunes left over when all was said and done. One of those is out today, and it's a lot more lighthearted than most Morby tracks. The post Kevin Morby – “PBJ” appeared first on Stereogum.
LEGAL SYSTEM AND JUSTICE

In 2022, a woman named Julia Misley (formerly Julia Holcomb) sued Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler, accusing him of sexually assaulting her in the '70s, when she was a minor. Misley filed her lawsuit in the final days of the Child Victims Act, a 2019 law that temporarily voided the statute of limitations for victims of child sexual abuse. She met Tyler when she was 16 and he was 25, and he became her legal guardian during their three-year relationship, which Tyler wrote about in his own 2011 memoir. The trial was set to start later this month, but now two different judges have recused themselves from the case. The Georgia singer-songwriter Robert Lester Folsom released his private press album Music And Dreams into obscurity in 1976, but it eventually developed a cult following, especially once the Mexican Summer imprint Anthology Recordings reissued it in 2010, back when excavating unheard pop oddities was becoming all the rage within the indie sphere. Now Anthology is releasing a 50th anniversary edition of Music And Dreams, which accents a remaster of the original album with a wealth of demos and newly recorded Folsom covers by Beach House and Hannah Cohen. Folsom will tour in support of the reissue; tickets are available here.
