The Department of Defense has issued a waiver permitting personnel bound by UAP non-disclosure agreements to speak directly with the official disclosure team. The directive covers military, civilian staff, and contractors, but only for that internal channel, leaving the question of public release unresolved. Whether that pipeline leads to the public or just a deeper vault remains the operative question.

In 1998, IAF F-15 pilot Dror Gorelik reports a silver object passing within several hundred metres of his aircraft on approach to Tel Nof. A navigator in the lead aircraft corroborates the sighting as a light, yet no radar return, image, or public Air Force sortie log has surfaced. The account sits against the unresolved 1996 public debate and an unverified story involving Dan Tolkowsky, leaving the official record conspicuously silent.
